After having a meal on 2nd Street, take a drive along Pasadena Drive. It's an enchanting street lined with beautiful trees. There are the cutest beach houses with views of the estuary and Morro Rock. You can stop at Pasadena Drive Coastal Access (also called Baywood Park Beach), which has little trails leading to a windy beach on the estuary and a dunetop bench with views of Morro Rock. The dirt here is a rich dark brown, like coffee, and the dunes are covered in flowers and silvery plants. People go fishing here and just revel in the untouched nature.

Further along, at 1131 Pasadena Drive, is a waterfront lookout deck between beach houses where you can see the estuary. It has a sign that says Coastal Access Bay Street Viewing Platform.
Continue driving Pasadena Drive and you see amazing views across the estuary at forest and mountains. Wow! The volcanic mountains are just wonderful seen from the top of Pasadena Drive where it meets Santa Lucia Ave.
Once you come to the corner of Santa Lucia Ave and 3rd Street, there is a dirt road that says "dead end." Drive it for a block to the end of Santa Lucia Ave, and park- it looks like you're in someone's driveway until you get to the parking lot and sign that says "Audobon Overlook." There is a covered deck with a wraparound bench on the estuary where you can see every kind of bird that lives in this area! What a view of the volcanic peaks beyond the little pier! You hear birds singing in the vegetation around you, plus the water lapping on the shore. It's so peaceful. You can also walk here from the dead end of 4th Street.
