Point San Luis Lighthouse Beach in Avila Beach is a romantic spot! It is only accessible by kayak or if you take the Point San Luis Lighthouse tour, you can walk down to it. The tour brings you here by an amazing bus ride.

Once at the cove, you can delight in its sheltered location. It is one of the warmest beaches on this coastline because it is tucked up against the cliffs. You will find rock pools on either end, shady spots to sit on the sand under the cliffs, and calm water.
Walk on the rocks and watch the bright seaweed make graceful shapes as the waves swish it around. And see little crabs climb out of the rock pools.
If you climb the staircase and walk up the road up to the lighthouse, you can see stunning views of the rocky coastline.
