Description
The path to Hammonds Beach is a lovely walk! Under a canopy of tropical flowers, you follow a sandy path feeling like you're in Hawaii! Once you reach the beach, there's a bench carved out of a pale tree trunk where you can sit and take in the views. The beach is a strip of sand with no cliffs and you can follow it in either direction. Lining the beach are luxury homes built in English country cottage style. The ambience at Hammonds Beach is unique and it makes for a pleasant short outing. To lengthen your outing, spend some time at neighboring beach, Miramar Beach.
For something to eat, head north on San Ysidro Rd to Upper Montecito Village and grab a sandwich at Pierre Lafond Bakery- you might bump into someone famous. Manning Park is a gorgeous park in Montecito, just off San Ysidro Rd, with lush pine trees, sumptuous lawns, and a toddler playground.
