Memorial Park, Carpinteria

Memorial Park has a large playground with tunnel slides that kids love. The mountain views are lovely and it's nice early or late in the day when shade isn't necessary. The playground area is barren-looking but further down, there are picnic areas with big shady trees. Memorial Park is in a neighborhood at the end of a culdesac.
For my favorite Carpinteria park, check out El Carro Park, a playground with four slides and gorgeous mountain views. While in the area, take a walk in Downtown Carpinteria and pop into the surf stores. From downtown, walk to Carpinteria Beach and Tarpits, a great place to explore nature.

Memorial Park is located on Camellia Cirle, Carpinteria CA 93013.
From Highway 101 southbound, exit at Linden Ave. Turn left on Linden Ave to head towards the mountains. Turn left on Malibu Dr and then right on Sterling Avenue, left on El Carro Ln, left on Azalea Dr which becomes Aragon Dr, right on Camellia Circle and park along the road.
From Highway 101 northbound, exit at Casitas Pass Rd and stay on Via Real, the road that runs beside the freeway. Via Real turns right and becomes Vallecito Rd. From Vallecito Rd, turn left on Ogan Rd and then right on Linden Ave. Turn left on Malibu Dr and then right on Sterling Ave, left on El Carro Ln, left on Azalea Dr which becomes Aragon Dr, right on Camellia Circle and park along the road.
