Monte Vista Park, Carpinteria

Monte Vista Park is a neighborhood park with a large playground and some shady spots to sit. The playground has a twisty slide, a tunnel slide, a toddler playground, and swings. Bring a jacket in winter because there is a cold wind coming off the ocean. A wonderful place to go near here is the Seal Rookery just down Bailard Avenue- what a gorgeous walk- don't miss it!
Other nice places to hang out in Carpinteria are: El Carro Park, with its playground with many slides and its mountain views; Carpinteria Beach and Tar Pits, a beach with roaring waves and fascinating tarpits; Downtown Carpinteria, a laidback beach town with surf shops; and Santa Claus Lane Beach, one of the most pristine beaches in the Santa Barbara area.

Monte Vista Park is located at Pandanus St, Carpinteria CA 93013.
Exit Highway 101 at Bailard Avenue and turn towards the mountains. The park is at the end of the street on the right hand side, at Pandanus St. There are plenty of parking spots.
