Tomol Interactive Play Area is a modern playground that borders the Carpinteria beach campground. Here kids can let their imagination free as they hide in Chumash Indian huts, paddle a Chumash canoe, ride seals and whales, and see a bald eagle in a nest (all sculptures). They can run over a bridge with rainbow colors under their feet and then slide down a set of three bumpy slides or even better, a roller slide. This slide is a huge hit with kids!
After playing, walk down to Carpinteria Beach, a popular beach with crashing waves and interesting tar pits. Have a tasty wrap or muffin outdoors under orange umbrellas at Jack's Bistro, in Carpinteria town. To see real seals in the spring, drive to Carpinteria Seal Rookery.
Tomol Interactive Play Area is located at 390 Linden Avenue, Carpinteria CA 93013.
