South Beach Park, Vero Beach

South Beach Park is a gorgeous spot to take in nature. When you arrive there are palm trees and gazebos in a lovely green park. From there you walk through a seagrape forest on a wooden boardwalk to get to the beach. The beach is wide with an abundance of perfect white sand! The water is blue-green but a little brown compared to South Florida. There are lifeguards which makes it a lot nicer than Melbourne beaches. The water can be quite rough.

After, have a Starbucks coffee at Caribbean Court Boutique Hotel, a six minute walk south. Or grab a pizza to eat at the beach, from South Beach Pizzeria, a three minute walk south.
It is tricky to find this beach. You must follow google maps to Playa Xio, not South Beach Park, if you want to end up in the parking lot.
Make sure you go to McKee Botanical Garden, a world class garden with a children's garden and wonderful special exhibits of sculptures in the garden.
