Clinton Presidential Center (or Library) is housed in a wonderful modern two-storey building on the riverfront in downtown Little Rock. From the huge windows you can see the bridges crossing the river. There are exhibits about President Clinton's early life, with photos, and about the amazing changes he made during his presidency. He especially worked hard on education, which is the most important thing for our next generation. It's interesting to read about how a weeklong summer program he attended in Washington DC when he was 16 influenced his life so much, since he met Senator Fulbright there, who later went on to open up many opportunities for Clinton. There is a movie in the theater about Clinton's life. And there are letters you can read from famous people such as Mr. Rogers to Clinton- fascinating!
After, eat at Forty Two, downstairs with expansive views of the river. It is fancy but affordable, which is a nice change! The food is good but the service is slow.
Walk west along President Clinton Ave and you will pass some good restaurants as well as River Market, a food court with many international choices. There are some homeless people and the downtown is not as pretty as I expected, but one visit you shouldn't miss is the Old State House Museum.
Clinton Presidential Center is located at 1200 President Clinton Ave, Little Rock, AR 72201.
