The El Paso Museum of Archaelogy is an attractive museum that encourages kids to touch and play. Kids can climb into a little adobe dwelling. There are lifesize models of native people performing daily chores in cliff dwellings.

The path to the museum is through a cactus garden and inspires the imagination of children.
There are gorgeous mountain views outside too.
Walk through the garden to the National Border Patrol Museum, which, like this museum, is free.
Avoid visiting the Wyler Aerial Tramway, which is a horrible experience.
A lovely place to eat and hang out in El Paso is Fountains at Farah at Cielo Vista Mall.
