La Purisima-Socorro Mission, near El Paso
La Purisima-Socorro Mission is a cute church in the middle of a very dry, plain neighborhood, east of El Paso. It is close to Highway 10 so it makes for a nice stop if you're on a road trip. The church is white and looks gorgeous against the blue desert sky. Inside the Spanish decor is lovely. Outdoors there is a little grotto (very dry) with a tree and three statues.
