Kuhio Kalanianaole Park on the water, Hilo
Kuhio Kalanianaole Park is a small park with picnic tables and views across the water to Reeds Bay Beach Park. It's too small to be of much use for a walk (they should connect its walking path up with Reeds Bay Beach Park!). You can pick up an egg bite or coffee at Big Island Coffee Roasters across the street and eat it at the park.
Beware of fire ants that fall out of the trees while you're having a picnic and bite you in your shirt. It's best to sit somewhere not under a tree!
A nicer spot with a long walk and pretty waters is Reeds Bay Beach Park.
