Queens' Marketplace and Kings' Shops, Kohala Coast

Queens' Marketplace and Kings' Shops are two areas of an outdoor mall on the Kohala Coast. It's handy to come here after a day at the beach and do some shopping, listen to live music, and eat at a cafe. It's easier to drive between the two areas than walk in the sun. 

At Queens' Marketplace, we found an awesome bowls place where we ate healthy, non-salty, non-greasy food! This is a rare thing on vacation! We were so happy. It is called Island Greens, and is in the food hall at Queens' Marketplace. You can take your bowl and eat it at the tables by the gazebo, fountain, and pond with lava rocks. There is a mini-train for kids at Christmastime. Kids love the huge sloped lawn in the middle of the mall where they can run to their heart's content. There are some great shops for teens like PacSun, Quiksilver, and Volcom. There are gift shops and souvenir shops. You can get an ice cream at Mauna Kea Tropical Treats, or hang out under the plumeria trees at Starbucks. Lava Light Galleries or Hawaii Fluid Art are some of the nice galleries to browse. Island Deli is like an ABC store with takeout food, a convenient place on your vacation. There are also many large restaurants to choose from.
At Kings' Shops there is live music in the late afternoon, by the stage. There are more gift shops and galleries, plus a convenience store called Whalers General. There are shops for teens like Rip Curl, Honolua Surf, and Hulakai Surf. Island Fish and Chips has fresh fish that you can eat by the large pond. Island Vintage Coffee has acai bowls and coffee.
After, walk the Ala Kahakai oceanfront trail, which starts at Hapuna Beach.

Kings' Shops is located at 69-250 Waikōloa Beach Dr, Waikoloa Village, HI 96738. Queens' Marketplace is located at 69-201 Waikoloa Beach Drive, Waikoloa Village, HI 96738. They are right next to each other, near Waikoloa Beach Resort, and both have lots of free parking!
