Waimea Nature Park, Waimea
Waimea Nature Park is a lovely place to have a picnic in a gazebo, surrounded by bucolic views. Kids like to chase the chickens at this park. There is a 1.3 mile walk along the stream here, on a narrow dirt trail, with lovely views of the hills. The trail extends from Lindsey Rd in the east, through Waimea Nature Park, to Kahawai Street in the west.
You could pick up a pizza or pizza slice for your picnic, at Pau Pizza. There are many other nice places to eat and explore in Waimea town.

Waimea Nature Park is located at 66-1246 Mamalahoa Hwy, Waimea. There is plenty of free parking.
