Weteringsplantsoen is a magical, narrow park on the water in Amsterdam near the Rijksmuseum. People sit on benches or pose for photos on the soft grass under huge willow trees, beside pale blue hydrangea flowers lining the canal. A path leads past grand trees with knobby trunks, sun-dappled grass dotted with daisies, and modern art sculptures. Kids enjoy the wooden playground with long cable to swing along, and rope bridge. Sit on the grass a while and take in the atmosphere.
The park is across from the Heineken Experience.
After, have an iced coffee at Cafe Mankind, across the street.
This park is located at 4 Eerste Weteringplantsoen. It is a four minute walk from Rijksmuseum.
