Hollywood Beach is a wide beach with an abundance of white sand. It is situated near Channel Islands Harbor, in a neighborhood of chic beach houses. There's so much sand that it covers the streets making it look like a sort of fairytale land! The houses are cute and unique, each having its own character and obviously loved by its owners. There isn't any shade on the beach or on the streets near it, so come early or late in the day. It's nice to take a stroll on the beach and then walk along the streets and admire the houses.
Walk west along the beach and you'll come to the resort called Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach where there's a nice walkway that leads to Oxnard Beach Park. Here your kids will have a blast on the huge pirate playground while you take in the hundreds of palm trees around you!
If you're hungry, drive to Lookout Bar and Grill to sit on their balcony overlooking the harbor.
For a sheltered playground, check out pretty Peninsula Park with its views of the boats in the harbor and its toddler playground.

We loved watching all the birds. It's a long walk but absolutely worth it.
