Wildflower Playground has a lot to offer. It's a large space-age playground with great views of the cute rocky hills beyond. There are benches for parents and a stretch of green grass with trees and picnic tables, tennis courts, and ball fields. The only shade is under the trees on the large lawn- this is a shame because kids could enjoy the playground in summer more if there were shade.
There is a large toddler playground with an alien theme, rock climbing, swings, standup seesaw, and listening stations where you can talk to each other from far away (these actually work!). The big kid space-age playground has stepping stones that move up and down like a seesaw, tons of rope climbing and climbing through large circles, a circle pair that spins, and stepping stones dangling from ropes. The playgrounds are on blue spongey material, and the swings are on sand.
After, walk around Janss Marketplace with its lovely musical fountain, colorful flower beds, imaginative little kids play area, and Toys R Us store.
Wildflower Playground is located at 635 W. Avenida De Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks CA 91360. There is a parking lot by the tennis courts.
