Tunnel View Lookout, Yosemite Natl Pk

While in Yosemite, don't miss out on the Tunnel View Lookout, a pulloff from the road right after the tunnel as you head into Yosemite Valley from the south. Before you is spread out a bowl of endless green pines dotted with waterfalls, and looming above them, the mighty El Capitan rock, with Half Dome curving cutely in the distance. In the afternoon, the sun is in the right spot for photos at this lookout.

Pull off Wawona Rd after the tunnel on your way to Yosemite Valley from the south.
