Don't miss this lookout spot along Highway 30! The colors of the water at Honolua Bay are just amazing! It's fun to watch the people snorkeling around. In winter you can watch surfers.
After, you can drive a bit further and walk a dirt trail through vegetation to Honolua Bay if you want to go snorkeling. The beach is made of huge pebbles so it's not a good spot to hang out. Take the northernmost trail that has a dirt parking lot across the street because the other trail is used by a homeless encampment with signs warning of dog bites.
Fleming Beach, 4 minutes south of here, is a better place to sit on a sandy beach and swim. It has lots of shade from ironwood trees.
For a crystal clear swim at a resort beach, head to Kaanapali Beach, a 15 minute drive south.
Honolua Bay Lookout is located at 6501 Highway 30, Lahaina. There is a paved parking lot beside the road.
