Wailea Village Shopping Center is a small, attractive shopping center uphill from the beaches. At night, it is lit beautifully, and makes a good place for a dinner date! My favorite spot there is Kohala Brewery and Restaurant, with good food (birria tacos), live music, and a youthful vibe. Manoli's Pizza is a fancy pizza place that was recommended to us. Akamai Coffee has a shaded balcony with views of the distant sea. Inside it has hanging plants and modern decor. You can get banana bread, waffles, French toast, salads, and croissant sandwiches. There are boutiques, and a weekly farmers market with fresh island fruits on Tuesdays at 8-11am.
Down further toward the beach is an excellent outdoor mall called The Shops at Wailea. I highly recommend the acai bowls at Island Vintage Coffee there.
Wailea Village Shopping Center is a three minute drive from Wailea Beach public parking lot. The roads are wide and designed for cars, so Wailea isn't very walkable.
Wailea Village is located at 110 Wailea Ike Dr, Kihei, HI 96753.
Akamai Coffee, open daily 6-6.
Kohala Brewery and Restaurant, open daily 11-10.
