Wing Beach, Kahului

Wing Beach is part of Kanaha Beach Park, but it is the curved section on the east end. The parking lot sign says Kanaha Beach Park, and is one of many parking lots. This gorgeous beach is one of the most scenic on Maui, with stunning blue-green water, and little rows of palm trees on the east end. An ironwood forest leads up to the sand, providing plentiful shade, a rare thing in Maui. On the white sand are piles of orange and white coral! Sit on the beach and watch the kite surfers zoom by, and admire the stunning mountains to the west. You can take a long walk west past the lifeguard shack to the main section of Kanaha Beach Park. This beach can be even more windy than Kanaha Beach Park, and is more secluded.

While waiting for your flight, you can come and bid farewell to Maui here or at Kanaha Beach Park.
Buy a sandwich at Whole Foods Market, a five minute drive west, and bring it here for a picnic.
