Holiday Park has a large but not that well-maintained playground (quite a few parts of the playground don't work anymore). There are benches for parents in the shade of some trees, in this otherwise quite dry landscape. An old locomotive is stationed near the playground, though kids aren't allowed to climb inside, which makes it kind of pointless for kids. Kids must be able to touch to experience!

This is a large park, with sports fields and courts, and a pretty playhouse.
After playing, take a dip in the ocean at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, eight minutes away by car. To escape the heat, head over to the Museum of Discovery and Science, a six minute drive, which kids adore and where you can also see an IMAX film.
If you're hungry, try out one of the nice sidewalk cafes four minute's drive away at Las Olas Boulevard.

Large gazebo with picnic tables, and playground.

1936 switcher engine, which was oil fired. No climbing is allowed which is not much fun for kids.

Play structure with tall slides.
