Carousel Gardens
At Carousel Gardens, you feel like you are in a movie set in the South, where the actors are enjoying a summer carnival under the giant moss-draped oaks. Do not miss out on this gorgeous spot in City Park! From the ferris wheel, you have a view over green trees for miles and the city skyline. Inside a fancy covered pavilion is a carousel. There is a large fun slide- careful to use the mat and not get a burn. Wacky Shack is an indoor maze where you find your way past obstacles- a freaky ride from days long ago! Coney Tower drops you from up high. Musik Express takes you super fast around and around. Car and plane rides are fun for the little tots. Rockin' Tug spins you around like crazy in a tug boat. Birthday Party Village is an area with picnic tables, sculptures of favorite characters, and playground equipment where you can reserve space for a party. Make sure you go for free through the gate to Storyland, because it is just magical! Here you walk amongst the forest to large sculptures of storybook scenes. You can walk inside most of the sculptures. What a dreamy place! We were SO happy while here- my daughter was full of wonder and excitement.

Carousel Gardens is located at 7 Victory Ave, New Orleans LA 70112, call (504) 482-4888. Entry is $4 per person. Kids 36" and under get in free. Rides cost $3 each, or $17 for unlimited rides. Hours vary by season. Summer hours are M-Tr 11-5, F-S 11-9, Sun 11-6. From Carousel Gardens you can walk through the gate for free to enter Storyland.
