Sandy Creek Park Greenway, Chapel Hill

Sandy Creek Park Greenway runs along a shallow creek. The trees are pretty and jungly, and the paved path is wide. The trail is very short, half an hour round trip at the most (1.6 miles round trip). On one side is the creek and on the other side is a swampy area. The problem with this path is that there are disgusting stinky sewer cylinders all along it. Abominable in summer.
After, get some yummy lychee candies at Li Ming Global Market, a six minute drive. Or enjoy a snack on the lovely patio at Guglhupf Bakery and Cafe (closed Mondays), a five minute drive to the east.
