Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is an exciting place to visit. The wax figures of famous people are quite astonishing in how lifelike they are. Each room is devoted to different types of people: politicians, scientists, athletes, super heroes, and performers. There are little plaques about each person though the information is very superficial. The lighting and presentation are well done. The music, though, is absolutely awful. It is theme park music, blasting at you the whole way through. There is also a really weird smell, maybe some kind of wax preserver? The super hero area is new and quite scary with its special effects that are interactive and surprise you!
After, walk around the pretty landscaped area called Icon Park, and admire the amazing Wheel and StarFlyer above you. Have a chocolate shake at Shake Shack!
Also check out Sea Life Orlando Aquarium!
Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is located at Icon Park, at 8387 International Drive, Orlando FL 32819. There is plenty of free parking in the lot or in a covered parking structure (great on hot sunny days).
Open daily 10-10, and open late until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Admission is around $30, slightly less for Florida residents. If you buy three attractions (must see within 30 days) you save a lot of money. The other two attractions are Sea Life Orlando Aquarium and The Wheel at Icon Park. You can get Sea Life Orlando and Madame Tussaud's admission with a Legoland membership for $170.
