Sea Life Orlando is a good aquarium located indoors at Icon Park. It has lovely tanks in a dark space with colorful lighting effects. Very annoying theme-park music follows you throughout the aquarium, with the only bearable music being the steel drum music in the tropical area. The staff are pleasant and always happy to tell you about the exhibits. There is a kids climbing area with a large rope structure. The whole aquarium is geared toward kids with fun sculptures and decorations throughout. My daughter, who doesn't usually like aquariums much, enjoyed this one because of the lighting effects and decorations.
After, have a burger or delicious chocolate shake at Shake Shack, in Icon Park. Or walk around outside enjoying the fountains and tropical landscaping.
Other attractions at Icon Park are The Wheel at Icon Park, a huge ferris wheel that is very fun to go up, and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, also well-done but with annoying music and strange smell.
Sea Life Orlando Aquarium is located at 8449 International Drive, Orlando FL 32819, at Icon Park. There is plenty of free parking in the lot or in a covered parking structure (great on hot sunny days).
Open daily 10-9.
Admission is around $30, slightly less for Florida residents. If you buy three attractions (must see within 30 days) you save a lot of money. The other two attractions are Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and The Wheel at Icon Park. Annual membership is $60 each, or you can get Sea Life Orlando and Madame Tussaud's admission with a Legoland membership for $170.
