Overlook Park, Oveido
Overlook Park is a small, beautiful park on Lake Jesup. Here you will find incredible trees stretching up so tall, covered with the most Spanish moss I've ever seen! There is even Spanish moss on the telephone lines!
A wooden pier stretches out into Lake Jesup, with wooden benches where you can sit and try to spot osprey birds. We saw one swoop down to catch a fish and then fly into a tree to eat its prize.
Clifton Spring, which is still and brown, not clear, leads into Lake Jesup here. You can read a plaque about it, and see the water lilies growing in it.
There is a low noise from the nearby bridge over the lake, which has constant traffic flowing over it.
It is very beautiful here at sunset.
Nine minutes drive to the west, check out Central Winds Park, which has a metal/concrete pier, a three-storey playground, and sports fields surrounded by adorable hills.
For a hike, check out Osprey Trail, in Spring Hammock Preserve. It is an eleven minute drive to the west.

Overlook Park is located at 1988 Spring Ave, Oveido FL. There is free parking.
