Grandview Public Market is a cool place in West Palm Beach. Here you can sit on their huge patio and enjoy the atmosphere. There is plenty of room for kids to roam. You can choose to sit in the sun or the shade, and enjoy the youthful atmosphere. Inside there are many businesses to choose from, where you can buy a drink or meal. The inside is not nearly as nice as the outside.
Inside and off to the side, there is a very decorated lounge area where you can sit.
Behind the public market, at 1220 Elizabeth Ave, check out the Love Conquers All Wall- a hip wall mural that is great for photo shoots! In the morning the sun shines directly on it. Wear black, white, or dark pink to match the background!
After, have a stroll at Howard Park, just a one minute drive away, where kids play happily on the playground, and friends picnic in the pavilion. You can pop into Armory Art Center to see a small exhibit, and then walk around Grandview Heights neighborhood which has cute little streets with tropical trees. You can walk all the way (nine minutes) to Hive, which is a color-lovers dream. It has a high-end home decor store with everything beautifully arranged. And best of all, it is a bakery and cafe, with lovely indoor and outdoor seating. The plates and even paper wrap around the knives and forks are beautiful. Outside, the green umbrellas are memorable, as is the green tropical mural on an adjacent wall. Inside, if you don't want waiter service, you can eat at three unset tables on the far end of the far room, and look out the windows at the beautiful outside area.
Or walk down Clematis Street, taking in the fun scene in WPB.
Grandview Public Market is located at 1401 Clare Ave, West Palm Beach FL 33401. There is free parking in the front parking lot, but sometimes (weekdays) they make this into valet parking which is annoying. They also waste a bunch of spaces by coning them off. This makes everyone have to look for parallel parking spots on the street, when they could have just parked in the plentiful parking up front and easily accessed their lunch. I'd be pretty annoyed if I were a cafe renting space inside and my customers could not easily buy from me.
