Parc Montsouris is everything a park should be! It has a jade green lake lined with benches, hillsides covered in tiny daisies, a rose garden, and staircases with twisty wooden railings. Lampposts and a whole variety of different colored trees, flowers, and plants add to the landscape. There are weeping trees, silvery trees, cypress trees, and wispy grass. There are very attractive gazebos along the path, where many stroll and run. And there are several playgrounds. One has boulders for kids to climb, and a ladybug bouncy, plus four other bouncies. Another has a little house way up high atop a space-age play structure, plus a spiderweb climby, and a bridge, also way up high. There is a toddler area nearby with an elephant bouncy and three other bouncies.
There are hidden walkways, lush with foliage, and sculptures on the hillsides. What a paradise!
Across the street is the marvelous Cite Universitaire. Stroll its grounds or eat in the cafeteria or cafe!
Other amazing parks in Paris: Parc des Buttes Chaumont, Jardin du Luxembourg, and Jardin des Tuileries.
If you love gardens, you will love the statues, topiaries, orangerie, reflecting pools, fountains and secret groves at Versailles Gardens.
Parc Montsouris is located at 2 Rue Gazan, 75014 Paris, France. The nearest metro exit is the RER exit, Cite Universitaire.
