It's peaceful to sit in Place Dauphine, under the perfect leafy trees, and have a cup of tea. This is a good way to replenish your energy after checking out the bouquinistes (booksellers) or walking the banks of the Seine River for hours! There are many brasseries to choose from. We ate at the outdoor tables at Restaurant Paul and watched the men playing jeux de boules on a court beside us. What lovely colors surrounded us as we admired the architecture! This square was built in 1610, surrounded by storefronts/houses with steep slate roofs and dormers, so many hundred years ago!
The closest bridge to Place Dauphine is Pont Neuf, my favorite bridge on the Seine!
La Rose de France is one of the cafes in Place Dauphine, if you need an address for your GPS. It is at 24 Place Dauphine, 75001 Paris, France.
