Beachside Shopping Plaza in Del Mar is just a grocery store shopping plaza but it has a cozy feeling to it. It is set back from the road, and surrounded by an abundance of eucalyptus trees. It looks especially nice at night, lit up with golden lights. Unlike its name, it is not on the beach, though it is close. It is near amazing Powerhouse Beach, as well as the Sea Cliff Coastal Trail.
Bushfire Kitchen, your best bet, has modern decor inside, and a large patio outside. It is counter-service, with good food. There is also Seasurf, with fried seafood, Le Bambou, a Vietnamese restaurant, Kotija Taco Shop, and Broken Yolk breakfast restaurant. For a treat, try Crumbl Cookies, where you can buy delicious cookies that are crispy on the outside and like cookie dough on the inside.
There is a Vons grocery store and CVS pharmacy.
There are plenty of eucalyptus trees that make it feel special.
