Anholm Park, San Luis Obispo

Something is very sweet and memorable about Anholm Park. It's a tiny park the size of one house lot in a neighborhood full of cute 1940s houses called Foothill neighborhood. The play equipment is under a tall redwood tree, and there are trees all around, adding to the magic. On summer days it's shady here which is a welcome relief. Big kids love the merry go round. And little kids love the two playgrounds, tire swing, and baby swings. There are pretty mountain views as you drive up to the park.

After, have a yummy gourmet sandwich at counter-service cafe Lincoln Deli & Market, on their outdoor patio over the creek. Or have a cup of coffee at Scout Coffee- this is one of their best locations, at University Square Shopping Center. 
While in SLO, don't miss out on the most amazing playground you'll ever see, at Sinsheimer Park.
Another very nice playground with fun equipment just a minute from Anholm Park is Santa Rosa Park.
