Market Common outdoor mall, Myrtle Beach

If you want to escape the extremely tacky scene in most of Myrtle Beach, come to The Market Common. It's an outdoor mall with very pretty architecture. Colorful flower pots, fountains, sweet trees, and bright buildings make for a lovely stroll. P.F. Changs is a good restaurant to choose. Avoid Ultimate California Pizza, which uses low quality ingredients that don't taste good. There is a beautiful Barnes and Noble bookstore here, plus a movie theater and Cold Stone Creamery. Make sure you stroll to the south end where there is a really cute plaza with cabbage palms and fountains. This area leads across Farrow Parkway to Grand Park, a lovely lakeside park with an amazing playground you shouldn't miss!
On the way to The Market Common, stop for a minute at Warbird Park to check out the impressive old planes.
