Tiger Shores Beach, on Hutchinson Island, is popular with fishermen. The parking lot is close to the sand, making it easy to bring all your supplies. This beach is just a short walk north of Stuart Beach. There is a short wooden boardwalk to the beach, with showers to wash off after a swim. The dunes are sweet as you enter the beach, covered in wispy grasses.

If you walk south to Stuart Beach, you can grab a snack at Seaside Cafe, open Tues-Fri 9-4, Sat and Sun 8-4, and closed Monday.
If you walk north on the beach, you have nice views of the highrises of Fort Pierce. You will come to Virginia Forrest Beach next. For a lovely meal, drive a few minutes north to Drift Kitchen.
A nice rectangular walk to do is to park at Stuart Beach, walk along the sand to Tiger Shores Beach, exit the beach on the wooden boardwalk, and then walk back to your car along Highway A1A, admiring the mansions and landscaping. This is a 1.2 mile walk. It is best done in the morning when there is a little shade along Highway A1A.
