It's nice to walk along Highway A1A, or Ocean Blvd, on Hutchinson Island! You pass sumptuous mansions and tropical landscaping, and you can pop into each beach access point, enjoying views of the blue-green sea. The sidewalk is just a usual narrow sidewalk, and you can hear cars, but the walk is still pleasant.

You can walk for three miles, from Stuart Beach to Jensen Beach Park! There is sidewalk on both sides of the road, so you can change sides to get some shade, depending on whether it is morning or afternoon. It is rare to find sidewalks on both sides in Florida, and I hope this will happen more often!
You can park your car at Stuart Beach and walk north three miles to Jensen Beach Park and three miles back! You can also park at any of the beach parking lots in between, such as Tiger Shores Beach or Virginia Forrest Beach. The beach parking with the very best morning shade for your walk is Bryn Mawr Beach Park
Replenish your energy with a meal on either end of the walk, at Seaside Cafe at Stuart Beach, which is basic and best for a snack, but has great views, or Drift Kitchen, a lovely cafe on the water inside Hutchinson Shores Resort at Jensen Beach Park.
