Beale Street Landing is an incredible park and development on the Memphis Riverfront that is great for strolling along at sunset. This place is paradise! Sit under a tree on the high banks of the river and watch the water swirl around below you. See a steamboat go by, or watch a big freight boat maneuver under the pretty bridge. The huge sloping grass roof of the Riverfront Bar and Grill provides a place where kids' imaginations can run free. They can roll or run down the grass to the bottom. Groups of people like to sit on the pleasant slope to watch the sun go down over the river. As you walk up the slope, you get a great view of the city and the pyramid, which is a sports store.

Underneath the slope, you can sip a cocktail in the shade of the cement roof while watching the river.
At the northern end of the slope is a playground with a splash pad. Tall sticks that shoot out water provide a fun spot to run around and get wet. There is a huge hollow catfish sculpture that kids can run through like a tunnel. Railings overlooking the river provide a spot to watch the boats go by. Striped hills under a shade canopy create a delightful spot for kids to leap around.
You can walk for miles on a popular paved walkway along the river, both south and north of Beale Street Landing- pure joy!
You can walk to the live music spot of Beale Street from this park by following Beale Street to the east for seven blocks (this takes eleven minutes by foot).
A twenty-minute non-shady walk or four minute drive north takes you to the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, a Disneyland-style place full of atmosphere where you can take a glass elevator to the top!
