For a pleasant walk past pretty houses, varied trees, and sweeping mountain views, check out San Luis Country Club neighborhood. You can do 2.5 mile loop walk through San Luis Country Club Estates. There is occasional shade and there are sidewalks most of the time. To extend your walk, you can also check out the older Country Club neighborhood, which has colorful gardens and nice views of the hills.

Park your car near 688 Country Club Drive, where you can walk in the low, wooden fence and then turn right on Pebble Beach Way. Follow Pebble Beach Way and then walk left on Greystone Place. Here you will have wonderful views of the Santa Lucia Mountains, and cedar, pine, and deciduous trees. Greystone Place veers to the left, where you will have views of citrus orchards, hills, and mountains. You will pass the entrance to the new development called Vineda. The road becomes steep and then dead ends. At this point, there is a path on the right. It follows the golf course, with beautiful views of redwood trees, and Cerro San Luis Mountain. It spits you out at the tennis courts, where you follow the sidewalk on Country Club Drive. You will pass the San Luis Country Club, which has pretty landscaping of blue sage, white roses, and palm trees. There are wonderful views of the mountains in almost all directions. You can eat here, with views, but only if you are a member or guest of a member. Continue walking along Country Club Drive, with a cute wooden fence and palm trees beside you. Now you are back at your car.
You can extend your walk by checking out the older neighborhood here, on streets like Marshall Way, Charles Drive, and Lewis Lane. The houses have pretty landscaping and lovely views of the hills. Sidewalks are only occasionally available here.
You can add a drive to your walk, by taking Country Club Drive uphill, and then turning left on Alta Mira Lane where you can enjoy mountaintop views of San Luis Obispo.
San Luis Country Club is near Biddle Ranch, a great place to go in October for their corn maze and pumpkins. It is a three minute drive away. It is also near Baileyana Winery, where you can sometimes enjoy live music with cute views of the morros.
A wonderful drive nearby is Price Canyon Drive, with amazing views on both sides. It leads to Pismo Beach Pier, a bustling area where you can walk on a wooden boardwalk above the beach, let your kids play on the whale playground, and also look down from the pier on surfers catching great waves.
