On Thursday nights there's an amazing street party in Downtown SLO! Everyone in town, including the students from Cal Poly SLO and Cuesta Community College come down to enjoy the festive atmosphere at "Farmers'" Live bands play, BBQ wafts through the air, glowing string lights criss cross the street, and people walk around with their boba tea, macaron, or ice cream! It's fun to walk through the outdoor mission plaza, Barnes and Noble, and the gift shops that entice you. There's also plenty of local vegetables (from Cal Poly Farm), fresh-baked bread from Bread Bike, and hot meals to buy from vendors!
The Farmers' Market is held every Thursday night from 6-8:30pm. Occasionally it is canceled due to rain. There is paid parking in the city parking lots or along the side streets.
