Laguna Hills Park is a peaceful park with a huge lawn and gorgeous views of the morros. I love to see the morros, especially in April when everything is green! Sometimes you can see them from your car, but want to spend more time taking them in. At this park you can do that! People come here to walk once around the path that circles the park. You can also walk in the pleasant neighborhood- at 1621 Cordova Drive there are beautiful flowers in April.
There is a small, older playground with swings, and a sad-looking toddler playground with baby swings and a slanted wall kids can climb. Four blue picnic tables are found throughout the park, with views.
After, shop at the many stores nearby such as Target, Costco, or the shops at Madonna Plaza and SLO Promenade, a 6 minute drive southeast.
Another thing to do on this side of town is the Irish Hills hike, or walk the Irish Hills neighborhood behind Costco, a 6 minute drive south.
There is a much better playground at San Luis Ranch, a 6 minute drive south, though the views are not as majestic as Laguna Hills Park. After, have a snack at San Luis Ranch Marketplace. Or a walk in the eucalyptus forest.
The most wonderful thing you can do from here is the 16 minute drive west past the beautiful farms with views of the morros, to Sweet Springs Nature Preserve and Los Osos.
Or drive 8 minutes east to Scout Coffee Foothill, a wonderful place to sip a tea and daydream or people watch.
Laguna Hills Park is located at 944 San Adriano Ct, San Luis Obispo. There is parking along the road.
