Bryn Mawr Beach is another beach entrance on Hutchinson Island, between the main beaches of Stuart Beach and Jensen Beach Park. You enter it under seagrape trees on a short wooden boardwalk. There are shells along the shore, and vibrant blue-green water. You can walk along the shore of this long stretch of sand for miles. You can also walk the sidewalk along Highway A1A. It's very pleasant in the morning when there is plenty of shade. If you park at this beach, you will have the shadiest stretch of the sidewalk to walk along!
It's easy to have a quick swim at this beach because your car is close to the water. But there is no lifeguard.
Bryn Mawr is Celtic for "big hill" so I'm not sure how it ended up in Florida!
It's nice to have a meal at Drift Kitchen in Hutchinson Shores Resort after your walk. The views are sublime!
On your way back, check out the pelicans at Jensen Beach Causeway Park.
Bryn Mawr Beach is located on Hutchinson Island at 2661 NE Ocean Blvd. There is a small dirt parking lot with some shady parking spaces.
