Flagler Park is situated on the waterfront just a short walk from the beautiful live music stage in Stuart town. Here you can find an abundance of coconut trees and little paths that wind their way under them. Kids love the small fenced ship playground in white sand with regular swings and baby swings. There is a popular basketball court and a grass hut picnic pavilion, plus views of a red wooden historic building.
A wooden boardwalk on the water leads to the stage on the river where there is live music on Sunday afternoons, 1-4pm. This boardwalk is fairly long and is marked by signs that call it the Healthy Trail. A shaded walkway leads under the concrete bridge where you can walk partway across the St Lucie River. There is also a long pier by Mulligan's where you can catch a cool breeze. This area offers many places to walk and take in the views! During the sweltering summers you can walk here with a good breeze to cool you down. Eat outside at Hudsons on the River in Flagler Park to enjoy the views for longer. On Sundays, check out the popular farmers market at Flagler Park.
There are usually excellent fireworks here around 9pm on July 4th. When we watched them it was beautiful, with the fireworks reflected in the water, and a thunderstorm making a lightning show beside the fireworks!!
After playing at the park, walk over to Gilbert's Coffee at Sunset Bay Marina, for an epic place to sit!
For a huge playground walking distance away (11 minutes) check out Kiwanis Youth Park. It has adorable wonky house playgrounds and all manner of fun things!
Flagler Park is located at 201 SW Flagler Ave, Stuart FL 34994. There is plenty of free parking when you come to the end of the road. On Sundays a golf cart shuttle can take you from your parking to the live music stage and farmers market.
