Hobe Sound Bible College Coffee & Bookstore

It's fun to go to Hobe Sound Bible College to check out the Coffee Shoppe and bookstore (both are closed on weekends). You can combine this outing with a walk under the banyan trees to Hobe Sound Beach. If it's too hot and sunny at the beach you can stay under the huge shade canopy- if it's breezy you can sit on the sand and look at the ocean!

Hobe Sound Bible College Coffee Shoppe is one of the nicest places to sit and sip a coffee in Hobe Sound. There are huge windows looking out on trees, adorable wooden chairs and tables straight out of a Goldilocks storybook, and calming, modern lighting. You can get lattes and Italian sodas and sit by the big windows to enjoy your drink. There is a pretty fountain in front of the coffee shop. See directions and the red tab on the map below to find the coffee shop which is quite hidden.
You can walk to the Christian Bookstore, which is not as modern or renovated, and check out the greeting cards, gifts, and kids section. The kids section has small treats you can buy like picture books, stuffed animals, and squishies. 
If you go to all of these, you have a fun outing for mom and child during holiday break days such as Spring Break.
There is also a thrift shop but, unlike the other lovely buildings, it is musty.
There are only a few attractive cafes in Hobe Sound town, so the HBSC Coffee Shoppe is a great find!

Directions

HSBC Coffee Shoppe is hard to find so read carefully (also see the red tab on the map): the coffee shop is located at 9254 Sunrise Way (park in the parking lot between Sunrise Way and Bethel Way), Hobe Sound. Open M-F 7am-4:45pm, closed noon-1pm. Closed weekends.  It is in Addison Student Center. From Bridge Rd, turn north on Gomez Ave. Pass Hobe Sound Elementary and Bethel Way, then turn right into a parking lot that is only a few feet north of Bethel Way. Addison Student Center is at the end of the parking lot, slightly offset from the other buildings and hidden from view. There is a fountain in front of it.
Hobe Sound Christian Bookstore is located at 11295 SE Gomez Ave, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. Open M-F 9:30-4:30, closed on weekends. If you walk north along Gomez Ave from the coffee shop, you will pass Sunrise Way, another parking lot, the large church building with an A-shaped roof and rows of palm trees and strung lights leading up to it, and then the Christian bookstore will be in the next driveway, with a metal awning over its front door.
