Dunedin Marina
Dunedin Marina, on the intracoastal, almost has a seaside feel! Here you can walk past the boats looking at their names. A colorful dolphin sculpture is fun for kids to see. Walk out on the pier and watch the water lap against the pilons. There are birds galore at sunrise making all kinds of noises. Nature at its finest. Joy!
After, walk along Main Street into Dunedin town for a coffee or pastry. Or walk south on Edgewater Drive to enjoy more views of the water.
Another nice place for kids is Weaver Park, with its imaginative playground across the street from the water, and on the Pinellas Bike Path. For indoor fun, check out the cute Dunedin Fine Art Center Kids Room.
If you like the dolphin sculpture here, you can see more of them outside businesses around Dunedin town (including one on Main Street near the bike path) and also along Gulfview Blvd and all around Clearwater Beach town. There are 120 in total! There is a slow-loading map of them here. Ms. Pinky is a cute one at 200 Harbor View Lane, Largo.
