New Years Eve at Hermosa Beach!

Hi Everyone!
Happy New Years! We had a great New Years Eve at Hermosa Beach! It was really happening there, with a live Big Band playing all the best tunes, and the plaza filled with people having fun. Kids were everywhere, playing with glow lights and silly string. On the beach, the moon was glowing on the sand, and we had a wonderful time sitting on a little dune by the pier and looking out at the twinkling lights of the pier. It was pretty warm on the beach for a December night. Wow, Hennessey's Pub has a gorgeous view of the beach and Palos Verdes from its upper deck with all glass surrounding it.
On New Years Day, we did some great exploring at Palos Verdes. I was curious to see what was up there because it looks so lovely from down on Hermosa Beach. The coves below Palos Verdes are wild and rocky- so different to the sandy beaches of Hermosa and Redondo. We walked along Paseo Del Mar, a street with multimillion-dollar homes, where there is a wonderful clifftop trail. The views are stunning from up so high! Check out the page!
Then we found Malaga Cove Plaza, a historic plaza in Spanish Renaissance style that was so delightful and had sandwiches there. Check out the Neptune statue that reminds of Italy!
Our best find was Wayfarer's Chapel- what a treasure! It is a glass chapel set amongst pines overlooking the sea and Abalone Cove. It was so peaceful there- even our son, who was having a tantrum, calmed down!
