In a forested area, with good play equipment, is Harold D. Ritter Park. This is suburbia, Cary, so there are plenty of kids playing, and everything is neat and tidy. This park has a circle planter of trees with play equipment all around it, including: swings, baby swings, sand diggers, pelican bouncy, and large play structure with a cllimbing wall and spinning monkey bars. It's a ton of fun!
Off to the side are some basketball courts.
This playground is eight minutes drive from Koka Booth Amphitheater, so it's handy before a concert. It is also near Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. One-mile-long Swift Creek Greenway leads off from Harold D. Ritter Park.
8 minutes north, check out Kids Together Playground, with a dragon and hills. MacDonald Woods is also a nice playground that feels cozy in a recessed area.
Harold D. Ritter Park is located at 301 W Lochmere Dr, Cary, NC 27518. There is a large parking lot.
