West Beach Park is a small strip of land between the bike path (S. Lake Trail) and Lake Minneola. The playground is small but very cute. It is fenced in, and there are little wooden benches arranged in a square under some trees. There is also a toddler playground, bigger playground, and xylophone. Around the corner, behind a building is a small fishing pier.
It is a five minute walk or one minute bike ride from here to 8th Street Pier in downtown Clermont, a gorgeous lookout with a wooden boardwalk and shaded benches overlooking the lake, with lots of wildlife. There are cute coffee shops, ice cream shops, and cafes nearby.
In the other direction, it's a three minute drive or six minute bike ride north to Lake Hiawatha Preserve, a beautiful, huge park with disc golf, two dog parks depending on the size of the dog, and a tall playground with a working water tower.
After, drive along Lakeshore Drive for some more wonderful views.
West Beach Park is located at 1215 Lake Minneola Dr, Clermont, FL 34711. There is parking on a large square of dirt.
