Delray Place Shopping Center, Delray Beach

Delray Place is a handy spot if you need a quick bite to eat or to do some shopping. It is a modern shopping center with rows and rows of beautiful palm trees. The buildings are colorful and new, lifting your spirits. There are plenty of great shops and cafes to choose from. This is not an outdoor mall, but a shopping center, so you have to walk through the parking lot to get to things.

A great choice for a quick lunch is The Habit Burger Grill, with delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. There is an Einstein Bros Bagels where you can get a bagel, but also a chocolate croissant. Creme Bistro is a bright, modern sandwich shop with baguettes. Jamba Juice is a great place to get a fresh juicer juice- I always get just a plain cucumber celery juice, which makes you feel so good after. Another Broken Egg Cafe is a breakfast place that stays open for lunch as well. Trader Joe's is a fantastic grocery store with inexpensive organic staples plus lots of international-style treats.
This is just one corner of this intersection. On all four corners there are shopping centers with cafes and good shops. Check out Fresh Market for gourmet groceries, and T. J. Maxx for discount home goods and clothes.
A nice thing about Delray Place is that it's located close to the intracoastal and beach. You could take your sandwich and burger and eat it at Atlantic Dunes Park, which has a parking lot across the street (S. Ocean Blvd) from it. You could drive, or just walk 11 minutes to the beach if the day is not too hot.
North of there, check out Sandoway Discovery Center, where you can see sharks in a pool and shells in a cute house. A little further north, check out Delray Public Beach, a happening spot, and Atlantic Ave, the main street of Delray Beach town, full of people enjoying the cute cafes and boutique shops.
