Twin Rivers Park has amazing-colored water! Here, two wooden boardwalks jut out into the intracoastal, and fishermen hang out. There is a beach on the intracoastal, a little cove that is adorable. Unfortunately a plank of wood blocks entrance to the cove. Overall, this place is just dreamy because of the technicolor water!

A large grassy area is fun for kids to run free. You can fly a kite here in the strong breeze. A half-mile, cement, loop trail winds through forest and onto the boardwalk- it is shady only in the forest area. Come early in the morning because there is no shade on the boardwalk, beach, or grassy area. You have to walk the long loop path to get to the boardwalk (there is no path cutting across the lawn), and no trees are planted along it, so it's not the best design in hot, sunny Florida. In winter it's wonderful though, and on breezy summer days. You may see dolphins or flying fish in the water! And once I saw a teeny tiny baby tortoise along the path! There are tortoise nests on the hill over the water, blocked off with yellow tape. Bright green lizards dart around in the white sand areas along the path by the forest.
To extend your walk, walk south along the sidewalk on SE Kubin Ave to Maggy's Hammock Park and walk the trail there too. It is shady and lovely.
For another walk nearby, check out Cove Road Park and the neighborhood around it.
Twin Rivers Park is near lots of places to eat in Port Salerno town or Hobe Sound town.
Another wonderful intracoastal park is Sandsprit Park.
