Kaena Point on the Makaha side is a hiking trail along the ocean connecting two dead end roads. Lovely views!

Horrible tramway where you wait in the sun for half an hour to be taken up to an area where signs warn that the electromagnetic fields are unsafe for humans.
You can't visit the lighthouse and amazing loop trail without an online reservation. You get to walk the loop and buildings by yourself, after a half hour talk by a ranger.
In winter, see the harbor seals play below the cliffs. All year, walk the trail above the cliffs.
Beautiful spot to see elephant seals playing in the water, and hear their gurgling sounds like a bottle pulled underwater!
