Best Playgrounds for Kids in Hawaii

Whoever orders the playgrounds for the parks in Hawaii is a bit of a boring guy. Mostly you see the same measly play structure everywhere, but occasionally there's a good one. Here they are!

Aikahi Playground, Kailua

Imaginative, wooden playground- this is the best playground on Oahu.

Hahaione Neighborhood Park, Hawaii Kai

There's an enchanting feeling in the valleys of Oahu, where the green mountains loom above you- Hahaione Park at dusk feels this way!

University Avenue Park or Kamanele Park

An older playground, tucked at the bottom of a hill, with huge wonderful trees. You can play a game where you talk to Mr. Tree with your child.

Manoa Valley District Park

A beautiful park with playground, fields, trees and mountains all around. It's mostly the setting that makes this playground nice.

Kalama Park playground and path, Kihei

A nice playground for kids on Maui, at the waterfront, with a huge canopy.

Honolulu Zoo

An awesome space-age playground inside the zoo. This is the second best playground on Oahu!

Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo and Playground, Hilo

A huge beautiful playground for kids, inside Hilo's zoo on the Big Island. It can get a bit damp, with mosquitoes, so sometimes there aren't many kids there.

Aweoweo Beach Park and Playground, Waialua

Sweet little beach with steep golden sand, shallow calm water, and a great playground and park full of people! On the north shore of Oahu.

Anuenue Playground, Waimea Park

Amazing playground with everything a kid could want, plus gorgeous views of green hills. In Kamuela, on the Big Island.
