La Jolla Hermosa Park, Bird Rock

If you go for a walk past the beach houses in Bird Rock, you will come to La Jolla Hermosa Park, a small lookout over a rocky cove. Here you will find a white fence with flowers tumbling over it. Come at sunset to take pictures along the coast. The view is a bit obstructed at this park, so continue walking south to see the pelicans at Bird Rock Vista Point, to hear the huge pebbles at Calumet Park and sit on its spacious lawn, and to admire Pacific Beach Pier at Pacific Beach Point. It's fun to check out the beach houses and these four lookouts, on a walk along Calumet Ave.
After, walk back from the ocean a few blocks and have a smoothie at Seaside Surf Cafe, where you can sit out on their expansive patio and watch people walk by. There are lots of cute cafes along La Jolla Blvd in Bird Rock.
